Dekho bhai, “JAAT” ke release se pehle toh mahaul aisa bana diya gaya tha jaise Sunny paaji khud border se direct set pe aaye ho. Posters, trailers, hype – sab full throttle. Lekin jab actual movie aayi… toh reactions mixed soda jaisa nikla – thoda fizz, thoda flat.
Online toh maze ki baat ye hai – jinko film pasand aayi, unhone bola “Sunny paaji ne dil jeet liya”… aur jinko nahi aayi, unka seedha verdict tha: “Old wine in new bottle bhi theek hoti hai, par ye bottle hi purani thi.”
But jo bhi ho, audience ka major chunk abhi bhi positive mein lean kar raha hai. Aur honestly, agar koi movie 2 din baad bhi social media pe trend kar rahi hai, toh kuch toh baat hai boss.
Lekin yeh sab dekhkar sirf ek baat bolne ka mann karta hai –
“PUBLIC KO SORRY BOLNA CHAHIYE.”
Dekho bhai, multiplex mein toh log Instagram reel banane zyada jaate hain, movie dekhne kam. But single screens?
Wahan crowd taaliyaan, seetiyan leke aata hai. Jaat ne wahi pe zyada dhamaka kiya – par multiplex crowd ka support abhi full power mein nahi dikha.
Makers ne late hi sahi, ek accha move kiya – social media pe 15-20 second ke impactful scenes daal diye.
Ab log keh rahe hain, “Bhai, ye scene toh powerful lag raha hai, chalo dekh lete hain.” Bas wahi se crowd wapas aana start ho gaya.
Agle do din movie ke liye do or die jaise hain. Sunday toh obvious hi hai, par Monday bhi bank holiday hone ka fayda uthaya jaa sakta hai. Agar dono din momentum bana toh “Jaat” collections can have a significant jump.

18th April se Kesari Chapter 2 aa rahi hai – aur woh box office ka full bulldozer ban sakti hai.
Sunny paaji ki last film ne ₹500 Cr cross kiya tha. “Jaat” ka estimated budget ₹100-125 Cr ke beech hai – aur agar yeh movie ₹100 Cr touch kar leti hai, toh safe zone mein aa jayegi.
Nahi toh, well… “one more patriotic experiment shelved.”
Movie banane se zyada important hai usse sell kaise karte ho. “Jaat” ne late hi sahi, lekin clips waale move se prove kiya ki right timing and right content can shift the tide.
Jaat ne abhi tak kuch logon ko impress kiya, kuch ko confuse – par ek baat pakki hai:
Audience ka interest mar nahi gaya.
Sunday aur Monday decide karenge ki ye movie slow burn hit banegi ya bas ek missed opportunity reh jaayegi.
