Doston, Mirai release hui thi September 12 ko – Teja Sajja ki second big film HanuMan ke baad.
Budget? ₹60 crore. VFX? Hollywood-level. Story? Therein lies the problem.
Box office? ₹94.85 crore net in India. Success story.
Lekin critics aur audience reviews? Massively divided.
IMDB: 7.4/10. Rotten Tomatoes reviews? Mixed. Toh chalte hain dekhte hain – honestly – kya special hai Mirai mein, aur kya disappointment hai.
Vedha (Teja Sajja) – ek orphan boy, pickpocket. Ek din, Vibha (Ritika Nayak) – ek spiritual woman – bolti hai – “You are the chosen one to protect Ashoka’s nine sacred scriptures.”
Twist?
Black Sword group – led by Mahabir Lama (Manchu Manoj) – inhe chahiye woh scriptures.
So Vedha ka mission? Find the Mirāi (which is Ram’s bow, Kodanda) – ek divine superweapon – aur Mahabir ko defeat karna.
Film ka first 30 minutes – stunning visuals. Nepal aur Himalayan locations – cinematography by Karthik Gattamneni stunning laga (later credit mein actor Rana Daggubati kaa cameo, plus Prabhas narrator).
VFX – immediately visible, “Hollywood-level” claim justified (mostly).
Title design, mythology integration – interesting angle. Ashoka references, Rama mythology – smartly woven.
Initial 30 mins reaction: “Wow, this looks massive!”
Gowra Hari’s background music – actually quite good. Mythological tone match karti hai. Critics appreciated.
Cinematography – Karthik Gattamneni delivered. Visuals stunning.
Teja Sajja’s action sequences – choreography solid.
Manchu Manoj as antagonist – actually steals scenes. Screen presence solid.
Gowra Hari’s score (HanuMan mein bhi kaam kiya) – actually excellent. Music carry karti hai many weak scenes.
Mythological tone – perfectly matched.
Reviews: “Music is the soul of every scene” – Rotten Tomatoes review.
Critics appreciate – “Gowra Hari saved many scenes with smart scoring.”
Album – okay. Nothing particularly memorable. Background mein use hote hain scenes, standalone appeal nahi.
Sampath (bird character) entry scene – visually stunning, music elevates perfectly.
Lord Rama entry – VFX + music = wow moment.
Climax fight – expected to be spectacular, but was okayish.
💬 Drop your opinion below! Is BGM really that important? ↓
Strength: Visuals handling, action choreography, scale management.
Weakness: Screenplay execution, pacing, emotional storytelling. Director prioritized spectacle over substance. He won in spectacle presentation.
Visuals stunning, but serve no deeper narrative purpose sometimes. Pretty to look at, but kya kah rahe ho story mein – that’s the issue.
Teja – looks perfect for role, action impressive. But emotional depth?
Critics point – “Teja radiates charm, but performance range limited.”
Manchu – absolutely stole the show. Negative role perfectly executed.
Audience response – Manchu’s performance saved many scenes.
Limited screen time. What she got – did well. But character underexplored.
Supporting cast – Jayaram, Jagapathi Babu – competent but sidelined.

Best Watched: Theater for VFX experience. OTT (JioHotstar) won’t do justice to visual scale but must watch.
Stars: 3.5 out of 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆
The Jatayu scene terrific. The climax Hanuman ji visuals awesome. I have already took that pic for my desktop and phone wallpaper.
(Being completely honest – film is a must watch.)

Mirai is “style over substance” – filmmakers had ₹60 crore budget, Hollywood-level VFX, pan-India release – but a weak background score ki wajah se impactful scenes bhi kamzor pad gaye. Background music par aur invest karna chahiye tha time.
Box office success (₹94 crore) would have crossed even 200 crore if the background score was good because then the scenes would have provided goosebumps. Goosebumps was missing in the entire movie just because of weak background music.
Watch Mirai atleast once. Regret nahin karoge.
Better use of time? Definitely Yes.
Time Value: ✅ WORTH IT
