Jewel Thief Review – Inspired from John Abraham Dhoom?

Netflix pe nayi film aayi hai – Jewel Thief. Naam sunkar laga, kuch thriller vibes milengi, lekin film dekhkar realize hua – bas naam hi exciting tha.

Toh kahani simple hai.

Ek art collector Rajan (Jaideep Ahlawat) ko ek rare diamond chahiye – Red Sun. 

Ye diamond India aa raha hai museum mein display ke liye. Rajan plan banata hai usse churaane ka – aur hire karta hai ek super thief Rehaan Roy ko – played by Saif Ali Khan. Plan banta hai, thrill shuru hota hai… par story kahaan ja rahi hai, uska koi solid thrill feel hi nahi hota.

Kya problem hai film mein?

➡️ Sabse pehli baat – Rehaan Roy ka character unrealistic hai. Matlab bhai har situation ka solution uske paas hai – secret tunnels, escape plans, sab kuch pata hai usse. Thoda zyada ho gaya.

➡️ Second issue – screenplay thoda lazy feel hota hai. Jab thrill ho, toh pace fast honi chahiye. Par yahaan toh sab kuch slow motion mein chal raha hai. Kunal Kapoor (Officer Vikram) kaafi laid-back lagte hain, jaise unhe khud bhi urgency ka feel nahi ho raha.

➡️ Chemistry ki baat karein toh – Rehaan aur Farah (Nikita Dutta) ke beech zero spark. Emotional ya romantic connection feel hi nahi hota.

Acting Department:

✔️ Saif Ali Khan ne apni taraf se poori koshish ki hai – lekin woh charm jo unmein hota hai, woh yahan missing tha.

✔️ Jaideep Ahlawat – talented actor hain, par yahaan unka character thoda confused lagta hai.

✔️ Kunal Kapoor – decent, but unmein woh chase-karne-wala thrill nahi dikhta.

✔️ Supporting cast – theek-thaak. Gagan Arora thoda fresh feel dete hain. Kulbhushan Kharbanda bhi theek hain. Bas kisi ka bhi performance wow wali category mein nahi aata.

Technical Department:

🎬 Direction – Kookie Gulati aur Robbie Grewal ka kaam average laga.

🎵 Music – yaad rehne layak koi bhi gaana nahi hai.

📷 Cinematography achhi hai, visuals sharp hain.

✂️ Editing tight ho sakti thi, especially chase scenes mein.

Final Verdict –

Agar aapko thrillers pasand hain, jisme twists ho, tension ho, smart planning ho – toh Jewel Thief aapko disappoint karegi. Isse accha aap John Abraham ki Dhoom dekhlo dobara se.

Yeh film Netflix pe hi time waste hai – theatre jaake dekhte toh ticket money bhi saath mein waste hote.
